Frilvam has reached an important milestone in its activity in the field of environmental sustainability. It has in fact completed the calculation of its carbon footprint, focusing on Scope 1 and Scope 2, which represent direct and indirect emissions related to the use of fuels and gases, as well as energy consumption.

Frilvam Spa has implemented actions in line with 5 of the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) parameters recognized by the United Nations, for the sustainable development. The company has harmonized its economic growth with social inclusion and environmental protection, taking into account not only the “green” dimension, but also economic and social dynamics.

The company has harmonized its economic growth with social inclusion and environmental protection, taking into account not only the “green” dimension, but also economic and social dynamics.

ENVIRONMENT

The Group, in view of initiatives for adaptation to climate change, is undertaking measures for the adoption of strategic emergency plans (e.g. exogenous health risks, cyber risks, etc.) and for the adaptation to internal management system certifications (e.g. health and safety, environment, quality, etc.).

Within the production process, Frilvam Spa uses recycled or reused materials. In particular, recycled or reused raw materials, used as production inputs, range from 20% to over 50% of the total raw materials used. The Group measures company emissions related to air pollution and complies with the environmental impact assessment through the use of the Carbon Footprint tool.

Companies set themselves medium (5 years) and long (10 years) term targets for a percentage reduction in environmental impact. In fact, the goal is to reduce emissions by 2%- 5% in the first 5 years and by 5%-10% in the long term.
