THE FAIR

Interplastica is an international fair dedicated to the processing of plastics and rubber. Inside there is space forthe industry’s machinery and equipment, as well as machines for processing and recycling, technological instruments for measuring, checking, regulating and checking raw and auxiliary materials and every aspect regarding the products and services in this important market. This is the most important event for the industry in Russia and Eastern Europe, with a high presence of exhibitors and international visitors: the participation of Frilvam in Interplastica is therefore undoubtedly an important moment to consolidate its presence in the important Russian market.

WHERE AND WHO

The 23rd edition of the International Trade Fair for Plastic and Rubber is being held from 28 to 31 January at the Moscow Expocenter, a futuristic exhibition centre in the west of the Russian capital. You have to go by plane to reach the Fair from Italy, landing at Šeremét’evo or Vnukovo airports in Moscow, both of which are about thirty kilometres away from the exhibition pavilions. The subway station closest to the Expocentre is Vystavochnaya, on the blue line which also makes several stops in the city centre.

TO SEE AND TO KNOW

Interplastica 2020 is being held in the Moscow Expocenter, the huge exhibition centre whose symbol is the Forum pavilion, consisting in a single pyramid-shaped building completely covered by glass windows. Overall, there are 165 thousand square metres of exhibition space, 13 thousand of which will be occupied by Interplastica. About 680 exhibitors are expected from 30 countries around the world.

ONE MORE THING…

Moscow is an enormous city where wealth and poverty mix from area to area. For those arriving to attend the fair, we advise searching for accommodation in Moscow City, the area of skyscrapers that is the Russian capital’s business centre. This area is that of a modern city, more similar to New York than to the historical and traditional image that is generally associated with Moscow. You can also reach the fair on foot From Moscow City in about fifteen minutes.

Novotel Moscow City – Presnenskaya Naberezhnaya, 2
A modern hotel in the area of skyscrapers. Close to a subway stop and, above all, a 10-minute walk from the Expocentre. Inconvenient, however, if you wish to visit the centre of Moscow, which is over 5 kilometres away.

Azimut Hotel Smolenskaya Moscow – Smolenskaya Ulitsa, 8
A more central area, close to two subway stops and convenient for visiting the town centre, even on foot. There are many restaurants and clubs in the surrounding area. You need to take the subway or a taxi to reach the fair. In the latter case: watch out for the morning traffic.

Red Square and Kremlin
There are many places to visit in a metropolis like Moscow. To make sure you get it right, go to the symbolic centre of the Russian capital: Red Square and the Kremlin. The famous Saint Basil’s Cathedral overlooks the square, as well as the Moscow department stores (GUM) and Lenin’s Mausoleum. You will inevitably have to queue to get in, especially in the Mausoleum
.

Metro
It’s not a joke: traveling on the subway in Moscow is an exceptional experience in itself. This is because here each station is different and many have paintings, statues, mosaics or even just exceptional floors and furnishings. A journey through the history and beauty of a truly unique city
